Frequently Asked Questions
Learn more about life at Masonic Village
1. Is there a wait list to move to Masonic Village?
Yes. Our priority wait list is intended to make your life easier. We have people who are on it for anywhere from two to five years. It allows you to move up the list, positioning you for the best selection of apartments or villas when you are ready to move. Give us a call for more information on the benefits of the priority wait list.
2. Do you have to be a Mason to be a resident?
Masonic Village is home to individuals with and without Masonic affiliations, and we encourage all persons with an interest in services to apply. Retirement living apartments and villas are open to Masons and non-Masons in order of application and without preference or priority for those with a Masonic affiliation. Our retirement living residents are given first priority access to our personal care and skilled nursing facility.
3. What is the age requirement for residents?
Anyone age 60 and older may apply for a residence. For couples, one person needs to be age 60 and the other at least age 55. Anyone age 55 and older may sign up for the priority list.
4. Are pets allowed?
We know your pets are part of your family, and you may bring up to two into your new home. We’ll provide specific size guidelines based on your preferred residence.
5. How much does retirement living cost?
For detailed costs and information on entrance fees and monthly service fees, visit our Costs page. Since Masonic Village is a Lifecare community, if needed, retirement living residents can receive personal care and nursing services for a modified monthly service fee.
6. What does a Lifecare community mean?
Masonic Village at Sewickley is a Type “A” Lifecare community. For qualified retirement living residents, this means they can count on monthly fees remaining essentially the same, with nominal modifications, throughout the remainder of their lives whether they require temporary or long-term care in the future. A Lifecare community allows for increased control of your financial plan when the future holds so many unknowns. Combined with access to Masonic Village’s 5-Star personal care and nursing services, it increases peace of mind.
7. What is the move-in process like?
Move-ins average approximately three months, and Masonic Village has various resources to assist you.
